Roads in the immediate area such as Poseidon Way, Harrison Way and Delphi Close give you space to get moving off, stopping and steering right before anything else is added.
The flip side is that an estate that forgiving can leave you underprepared. A learner who only drives Warwick Gates will be comfortable with wide roads and long sightlines and completely unready for Northgate or The Butts in central Warwick, which is exactly what a test will ask for. So lessons here move onto Harbury Lane and Heathcote Lane early, deliberately.

Warwick Gates is one of the better-placed areas for the Warwick test centre. Harbury Lane west and then the Warwick approaches puts you into the A425 corridor through Saltisford and Northgate without a long detour, so the town-centre sections and the residential manoeuvre streets around Cape Road and Millers Road get covered as part of normal lessons rather than as a separate exercise.
