Lessons are personalised to each learner, so they suit a wide range of people in Leamington Spa:
Complete beginners with a provisional licence; see beginner driving lessons in Leamington Spa.
Nervous or anxious learners who need a patient, gradual approach; see nervous driver lessons in Leamington Spa.
Adult and mature learners, including people taking automatic lessons for the first time.
Drivers returning after a long break.
International or European licence holders who need to get familiar with UK roads, rules and test expectations.
Motability customers - Drive With Issy is Motability approved.
Learners close to test standard who want structured test preparation.
Every lesson is with Issy, the only instructor at Drive With Issy. He started instructing in 2021 after initial training with BSM, part of the AA Group, and became independent in 2024. He is a fully qualified approved driving instructor, Motability approved and 5-star Google rated. The safety-first approach is simple: the aim is to make you a safe, independent driver, not to rush you through a test.
You learn in a fully electric automatic Hyundai Kona, kept clean and maintained. Lessons are automatic only, so there is no clutch or gear changes to manage - but you still develop the observation, judgement, positioning and hazard awareness every driver needs.
Check availability: enter your postcode on the website to confirm you are in the covered area, or call +44 7812 390153.
Book your first lesson: through Book Lesson or by phone, with evening and weekend slots available.
Agree a pick-up point: home, school or work - Drive With Issy is a mobile driving school, so you do not travel to the business address.
First lesson and assessment: Issy assesses your current level and any previous experience and sets a personalised starting point.
Personalised lessons: one-to-one tuition focused on your weak points, covering control, observation, junctions, roundabouts, manoeuvres, hazard awareness and independent driving.
Track your progress: use the learner app to view progress, book appointments and access learning resources.
Test readiness: you are recommended for the practical test only when you drive consistently, safely and independently without constant prompting.
There is no fixed number of lessons everyone needs. DVSA guidance points to around 45 hours of professional tuition plus roughly 20 hours of private practice as a general benchmark, but readiness, not hours, decides when you take your test. Learning in an automatic removes clutch control and gear changes; it does not remove the need to develop safe judgement. Read more in how many driving lessons will I need before my test.
Current lesson and package prices are on our price list, so you always see up-to-date rates. You can check availability for your postcode and book through Book Lesson.
Intensive driving course - for learners who want more lessons in a shorter time. It is not a crash course: you are still only recommended for your test when you are ready.
Refresher lessons - for drivers returning after a break, or international licence holders getting used to UK roads and motorways.
Pass Plus - further training after you pass your test.
Drive With Issy also teaches across Warwick; see driving lessons in Warwick.
