The town gives you quiet residential grids around Windy Arbour, Forrest Road and Manor Road to build the basics, a busy one-way section at Abbey End and Smalley Place, and a High Street and Castle Hill approach that teaches you to read parked cars and oncoming traffic properly.

DVSA guidance points to around 45 hours of professional tuition plus roughly 20 hours of private practice for a typical learner. That is the figure to plan a budget around — at Drive With Issy rates, 45 hours of tuition sits between the 10 hour block rate and the 30 hour intensive package.
The honest caveat is that the 45 hour figure is an average, not a promise. Learners who drive weekly and get private practice between lessons tend to need fewer hours than learners doing a fortnightly slot with no practice in between. Age, prior experience abroad, and confidence all move the number.

Warwick (Wedgenock House), at Ground Floor, Wedgnock House, Wedgnock Lane, Warwick, CV34 5AP. GOV.UK lists it as running car, motorcycle module 2 (on-road) and ADI part 3 tests. It is the closest car test centre to Kenilworth, about 15 minutes down the A452.
Routes out of Wedgnock Lane feed onto Birmingham Road and the A425 through Saltisford, Northgate and The Butts, with the A429 Coventry Road and the A46 Warwick Bypass at Stanks Island within reach. Cape Road, Millers Road, Guy’s Cross Park Road and Primrose Hill supply the residential sections and the manoeuvre spots.

Kenilworth learners occasionally take a test at Coventry instead when Warwick availability is tight. Coventry is a different proposition — industrial-estate traffic and ring-road junctions rather than a historic town centre — so it is worth deciding early rather than switching a fortnight out.
